The program
One mixed-age group of up to twelve.
Gwiggles is an in-home Preschool and Pre-K for children 3 – 6 years. Younger children are considered case by case: children as young as 2.5 – 2.9 years may enroll depending on their development and readiness, and on the ages of the children currently in the group.
Children must be at least 2 years old to join the waitlist.

Tuition includes Organic, fresh, home-made meals — morning snack, lunch, afternoon snack. Full-time families may start part time for the first month during their child's adjustment period. Temporary and drop-in care are available on a limited basis. Tuition & Admissions
Our approach
The curriculum follows the children.
Gwiggles is the only Reggio Emilia-inspired in-home program in Mission Bay. The week is not decided a year in advance: teacher-led lessons in letters, phonics, counting and early math sit alongside whatever the group is currently curious about — the solar system, how the body works, dinosaurs.
Children have a say in what they study and how they study it, which is what keeps them genuinely interested. Sometimes the whole group works towards one collaborative project. Families receive the updated curriculum every Monday.

Screen-free days
No screens in the program — the day is made of materials, conversation, projects and outdoor time.

One small mixed-age group, so teachers know every child's interests and how they learn.

Ninety minutes outside, daily
Outdoor time every day — often twice in spring and summer — plus library visits and a music class at The Blue Bear School of Music every other week.

Organic meals, cooked at school
Fresh home-made morning snack, lunch and afternoon snack are included in tuition.

Kindergarten readiness
Dressing independently, managing bathroom tasks, working in a group and regulating big feelings — alongside letters, phonics and early math.

Parents stay in the loop
An updated curriculum every Monday, daily photos, and quarterly parent-teacher check-ins.

Children must be at least two to join the waitlist. Waitlist families start with an application or a call with the owner or administrator.
Families tend to stay until their child is ready for kindergarten — and the school treats that readiness as social and personal as much as academic.
